About Danie

I'm a working Mom with (very) long-held interests in reading, writing and rolling certain polyhedral dice. I was one of the very first girls at all all-boys' public school, got my English degree from UEA, and spent most of my twenties clobbering my friends with an assortment of steel cutlery. After seventeen years handling social media and event management for Forbidden Planet (London) Ltd, I now work for Waterstones Piccadilly, looking after their Manga and graphic novels - and I run some events for them, too.

I'm the author of the critically acclaimed Ecko series (portal fantasy, Titan Books), Children of Artifice, (queer urban fantasy, Fox Spirit Books) and a lot of WarHammer for the Black Library. I've also written Twilight Imperium for Aconyte Books, and fiction for Rebellion, NewCon Press, Wizard's Tower, Snowbooks and more
